Dear
Fellow Malaysians and
Friends,
Please join us to welcome
the new MAPROC Committee
for 2008 / 2010. At
the same time we would
like to extend our great
appreciation for them
to volunteer to continue
to serve in MAPROC and
to take this opportunity
to thank the old committee
for their great effort
and a job well done.
Since the formation
of MAPROC in Shanghai
your committee both
past and present have
always strive to promote
the spirit of fellowship
among Malaysians and
friends in Shanghai
and its surrounding
areas. Your MAPROC Committee
have been active in
organizing get-together
diner functions, travel
trips around China,
sports activities like
Golf Tournaments and
other sports events,
Business seminars, meetings
with new Malaysian Businessmen
seeking to investing
in China and members'
networking. Of course
the key event of every
year is our Merdeka
Day Celebration.
All these are made possible
by the very strong support
of Malaysian Companies,
our MAPROC members both
Malaysians and friends
and the ever hardworking
committee members who
have volunteered their
time and effort to ensure
that our current members
feel at home away from
home. We take this opportunity
and appeal to members
to help in our membership
drive by getting more
Malaysians living in
Shanghai to join MAPROC
as well as come forward
and volunteer your time
for committee work.
As Malaysians living
overseas we have an
obligation to promote
our country and one
of MAPROC's function
is to work closely with
our Malaysian Consul
General office, MayCham
and other Malaysian
Agencies such as Mida,
Maltrade, Tourism, Malaysian
Palm Oil and Malaysian
Timber for the promotion
and goodwill between
Malaysia and China.
We are proud that our
own website www.maproc.org
helps to keep our members
informed on the activities
of MAPROC as well as
to provide Malaysians
back home to have a
glimpse of what is happening
within our Malaysian
community in Shanghai.
Please visit the website
regularly to learn more
on MAPROC activities
and member's benefits.
Salam
Sejahtera.
KY Lai (President
MAPROC)
